Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic shows. Ana began to learn how to play the piano and sing in the early years with her mother. The formal training in singing at the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. Her early professional career was spent performing with various orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in classical Latin American music at private occasions. The love she has for performing, music, and the arts keep her involved in local activities in both her capacity as an artist and educator. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her passion and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
